Dim Sum in Chinatown
However, Nicole loved the time we spent in Chinatown and she would probably be ready to move there tomorrow if we could. She found all the different markets to be fascinating and she loved scouting out the different shops. One of the places she learned about in her research was a little restaurant, Shanghai Café, which was known for their Dim Sum, specifically their dumplings.
Our experience at Shanghai Café was one I will never forget. We found a restaurant among the craziness of Chinatown and had an authentic Asian dish. We sat on the street and there was nothing fancy about it, but we enjoyed the food that was prepared by people who were sharing part of their culture and heritage. To me, it’s what traveling and eating is all about.
