Food tours have become a growing trend in cities around the country. Many people love to find great food when they travel, and food tours have become a popular way to try different restaurants while being guided by an expert who knows the story behind many of the restaurants. Because of the opportunities for growth, many major food tour companies are popping up and setting up tours in different cities.
I recently had the opportunity to take the Historic Downtown Food & Cultural Tour, and I was extremely impressed.
The tour is described as “3 hours of delicious fun,” which is exactly what I had.
Our tour included food stops at The Regency Room at The Hotel Roanoke, Cedars Lebanese Restaurant, Billy’s, Bread Craft, Texas Tavern, Little Green Hive and On the Rise Bakery, and you also make a few other stops along the way.
You’ll taste some unique food. You’ll eat some of Roanoke’s most iconic dishes. And you’ll learn the stories behind some of the city’s famous landmarks.
It’s a great way to spend an afternoon in Downtown Roanoke.
