My Review of Firefly Fare in Roanoke
When I would go to the City Market Building in downtown Roanoke, I used to talk myself out of trying Firefly Fare. It is a unique restaurant with an interesting menu, featuring many vegetarian options that are made with fresh, local ingredients. There were things on the menu that looked appealing and people's food appeared tasty, but I would always convince myself to go somewhere else instead of ordering from Firefly. A couple weeks ago, I finally decided to quit choosing all the other options in the Market Building and try the food from Firefly.
I've had the chance to talk with the owner of the restaurant and he seems like a really nice guy. Even better, he's a graduate of UGA! It's great to meet other Bulldogs in the Roanoke area and I have no problem supporting their businesses when they are providing products and services like the food at Firefly Fare. The prices at the restaurant range from $8 - $10 and they seem to be doing very well in the market building. This restaurant is bringing fresh, unique flavors to downtown Roanoke and raising the level of quality to a different level in the City Market Building. And from someone who was initially nervous about trying their food, I'm glad I finally did.
