Top 3 Tuesday - Dumbest Moments in Football
Clay Matthews hitting Colin Kaepernick after he’d already gone out of bounds was dumb enough. Launching himself the way he did was even dumber. But getting up and then throwing punches at San Francisco offensive lineman Joe Staley was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen. That type of behavior has no place in football and I immediately lost all respect for Matthews based on what he did. He should have been ejected on the spot. Think about how people would respond if that had been Ndamukong Suh.
The Bucs basically had the game won after an impressive late scoring drive by Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman. That is, until Lavonte David committed one of the stupidest personal fouls you’ll ever see. His late hit on Geno Smith with less than 10 seconds to play moved the Jets into field goal range and enabled Nick Folk to kick the game-winning field goal with two seconds left. Sometimes it’s amazing to think these guys get paid millions of dollars to do this stuff.
There are no words.
