Top 3 Tuesday - Big 12 Football Stadiums
The Longhorns have struggled over the past two years but it still doesn't change the fact that Texas Memorial Stadium is one of the greatest stadiums in college football. Although Texas fans can be obnoxious, they have great passion for their Longhorns and support the team with everything they've got. The stadium also features an incredible HD video screen that's known as "Godzillatron." Plus, going to a Texas game means you also get the opportunity to spend time in Austin.
There was a period in the past decade when Oklahoma was the most difficult place to play in the country. The Sooners never lost at home. Ever. That's probably more because of the dominant teams that were taking the field instead of the crowd, but Oklahoma has always been a program with a terrific fan base. I'd love to attend a game in Norman and watch the Sooner Shooner ride around the field.
West Virginia fans are known more for what they do outside the stadium than inside but they are still one of the nastiest crowds in college football. When Virginia Tech was playing the Mountaineers on a regular basis, the game in Morgantown was always one that the coaches and athletic department would advise the family of the Hokie players to consider not attending because of the environment. Morgantown appears to be a beautiful town and it seems like a great place to see a college football game. Then, we can all go light things on fire!
