Greeting the Tea Leaves
I’ve talked before about my love for Argo Tea and how it became part of our morning routine during our visits to New York City so this was the perfect way to start our week of eating and drinking in Chicago.
This Argo Tea Cafe is located in Terminal 2 at the O’Hare Airport. Considering the maze that is the O’Hare airport, I’m pretty sure I could never find this location again but it couldn’t have been more convenient for our arrival. For those traveling through the airport, the cafe offers seating and places to charge your electronics and a nice view if you enjoy watching airplanes sit at the terminal.

I’ve heard O’Hare is a busy airport but I’m not sure how because no one ever seems to be going anywhere. No problem - just sit and drink tea all day.
Our friend was picking us up from the airport so we got our drinks to go. In the mood for something cool and refreshing, I ordered the Iced Pom Tea. Pom Tea is one of the signature drinks at Argo and it’s a blend of pomegranate juice and red tea.
It’s a low calorie drink that offers the health benefits of tea and the antioxidants that come from pomegranates. Take that, Snapple!
As is the case with nearly all the drinks at Argo Tea Cafe, you can order the Pom Tea iced or hot. I recommend going with the iced. I’m biased though because I think I’ve burned my tongue on every hot drink I’ve ever had. Ever.
At $3.50 for a small, it’s not a cheap beverage. But if you’re having to travel through O’Hare, allow yourself the freedom to splurge a little bit and enjoy this refreshing drink.
